pick up the pieces ~ turn into lemonade

 We had a doozy of a storm last week and it took down a couple trees in our yard. One of the casualties was the girls sand box and rather than sulk over the loss, we decided to turn the mess into a business opportunity. 

People came from near and far but business was a bit slow the first day. We are hoping the city comes by to remove all the tree debris soon. Then folks might actually see our stand.

 We finally went camping for real over the weekend!

The best part of our trip was that it came complete with the wedding of our friends Dana and Jay!!

There was lots of singing and dancing!!!

It was such a great time, we didn't want the fun to end!

 Its been a busy summer so far. There's been Twins games, soccer camp, days at the beach, sidewalk chalk, swimming lessons, miniature golf....and that was just the first week of summer vacation.

last day of kindergarten

 Today the girls graduate from Kindergarten and it will also be the last time they ride there in the trailer since they are much too big for it now.

 While on our ride we decided to join the walking bus for the last few blocks.

 They were so excited about today that they were up at 5:00 this morning talking about the last day.
