our fairy house and the great divide

We have been hard at work in the garden this spring (thanks in large part to Grandma and Grandpa). While we establish the garden, Anna and Sophia have been fixing up a fairy house in hopes of drawing some fairy magic to our garden.

 Meanwhile indoors; the girls have officially separated into their own bedrooms.

The day began with breakfast in bed for momma on Mothers Day, complete with her favorite delicacy from Patisserie 46. That was just the start of a full day of family adventures for all of us. Once we got going, we headed down to the lakes to enjoy the pleasant spring day. Amazing Thailand followed along with more parks and finally we had some fabulous Crema delights. If only every day could be a fun family day.

There are no words for this

they won't stop growing

We have long joked that we must stop feeding the girls because they just will not stop growing and we don't want them growing up too fast. They naturally berate us every time saying that they will die if we stop feeding them, all while laughing at the same time because they are so happy to be getting bigger. Well last weekend they took their first log ride without chaperones which was actually alright by me.

It is Spring Break and we've got some stuff to do!

Like heading to the zoo.

Even when the weather is nice and the computer is fake Anna is still drawn to being on a screen.

And of course Sophia is drawn to penguins.

And before the flowers can grow outdoors we must get a taste of spring by experiencing Macy's flower show indoors.

The girls are now proud new owners of their own library cards.

when the fire starts to burn, right, and it starts to spread

We brought home a buddy for Mani this week but unlike the last unanimous decision on a name, 

things got a little hairy this time around.

 

 We made a list of eight names, wrote down our choice and then (like last time) went around the table scratching names out that we did not want. Anna wrote down Thor, Sophia and Mom wrote down Lucky and Dad had Sid. Sid was the only name to make the cut but Anna was having none of it and threw a fit. We made a new list but it was bad. Anna felt his name should be Fire and since Mani was named after a Nordic God and Lucky was half the families choice, Loki the god of fire seemed like a good compromise. It also matches his character for he is very low key and super chill.
