Being that the month of March in Minnesota is notoriously filthy and disgusting (on account of all the melting snow with its trash and grime), I thought it would be a good time for a throwback Thursday  (#tbt) of our holiday family photo that never came to be. 

Today also marks the day that Sophia returns to her own room after sharing Anna's room for the winter for nothing more than the practicality of keeping warm with the lone heater in the basement.

This is a big deal, because when she moved into her own room it was done so with the stringent understanding that she would be in this room for one year. Since that was cut short by the chill of winter, we marked the date of sharing a room with the Lucia post. Now we must add what was lost from her full year and extend her stay to somewhere in time. That can be their summer math project.

 Last weekend was Ice Fest at the Hansen place.

 We had a great time as usual and the girls had some sledding fun flying down the hill with Auntie Trista.

 But that's all over now and the weather is taking a turn for the warmer. We'll take it.

 Today was Science Museum fun for us in Saint Paul!

 There were many experiments and laughs to be had!

 We also went to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival which melted and crumbled before or eyes since it was 42 degrees. We were there early so we saw most of the sculptures (sadly, the house of cards was not built to last).

We had no intentions on having the first post of the year be as sad as this but we unfortunately began 2015 with a cancer diagnosis for our beloved Koda. She went down hill rather quickly and today we said goodbye :(

 It has been a splendid holiday season with Mormor & Morfar here for a visit...

 ...with fun in multiple locations...

 ....and our celebrations would not be complete without a flying drone.

Anna and Sophia earned their wings and a spot in the front row of the Sancta Lucia Pageant this year at Mindekirken. They loved it and plan on taking part in it again.
